Description

SVMMARY is an enterprise content consolidation service for the news industry. OKTA's authentication integration services have enabled SVMMARY to ensure the customer's user experience is secure and streamlined so they can focus on making their daily tasks as efficient as possible. Enables SVMMARY customers to log into the SVMMARY platform using Okta as a single sign-on provider.

A. Supported Features

B. Requirements

  • 1. Ensure user is provisioned in Okta
  • 2. Receive Tenant ID from SVMMARY
  • 3. Provision organization admin within SVMMARY

C. Configuration Steps

  • 1. Log in to your Okta admin dashboard
  • 2. Navigate to Applications > Browse App Catalog
  • 3. Search for and select SVMMARY
  • 4. On the SVMMARY page, click the Add Integration button
  • 5. Enter your Okta Subdomain (also known as the tenant name) and click Save. Example: if your Org URL is companyname.okta.com, then your companyname would be your subdomain
  • 6. Copy the Metadata URL from the Okta Admin Console, SAML 2.0 Sign-on methods section
  • 7. Email the Subdomain configured in the Advanced Sign-on Settings and a copy of your Metadata URL value to info@svmmary.com with the subject, Okta SAML Configuration Metadata
  • 8. The support team will process your request and let you know when your account has been set up

    • SP-initiated SSO
  • ● SP-Initiated flow: Login at https://svmmary.com/sso-login and enter email ID and it will take you to your IdP for authentication.

D. Known Issues/Troubleshooting

  • If you encounter any issue during the process, or a generic access denied message after authenticating through Okta, consult with the SVMMARY support team (info@svmmary.com).
